SWEET CORN "GOLDEN BANTAM" - Zea mays L. convar. saccharata Koern.
Medium-early variety of sweet corn. The plants grow up to 1,5 m height. Ears are long, 2-3 on one stem, grains are yellow, good taste. They are rich in sugar, starch, vitamins and protein.
Ears are picked in mind-August, when grains are soft and juicy. Suitable for fresh use, canning, freezing. Grow best in fertile and humid, soil permeable to water and air.

* American-style corn with tomatoes.
Ingredients:
• 6 large ears;
• 4 ripe tomatoes;
• 2-3 tbsp. vegetable oil;
• salt and pepper to taste.
Method of preparation:
1. Separate the kernels from the cob with a fork.
2. Peel the tomatoes and cut into cubes.
3. Simmer the vegetable mixture in a frying pan with oil until the corn kernels become soft. Add salt and pepper.
4. Place the hot prepared mixture in a sterile jar, roll up, turn it over onto the lid and let it cool slowly under a blanket.
Advice: use in winter as a very tasty side dish.
